Does the most important idea always go the main clause in a complex sentence?

Whether you think the answer is yes or no, check out my own answer this question in the Forum’s “Going Deeper into English” discussion board. This was in response to a question posed to me by an ESL teacher in New Jersey whose students had shown him several examples of writing where the writers had put the obvious main idea in the subordinate clause.
