As a courtesy to the incoming administration of Philippine President-elect Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, I would like to request Forum members to join the mainstream Philippine media’s traditional “100-day honeymoon period” for the new President and his executive team. During this period, members of media normally refrain from harshly criticizing the new incumbent and his team to allow them to manage the country’s national affairs with the least political distraction and aggravation. With this as sole exception, the Forum’s Lounge will, as usual, remain open to frank opinions and commentaries on English usage and subjects of related interest.
