Charles Aznavour sings a classic!
« on: December 27, 2009, 02:48:48 PM »
My friend Ed Maranan, the Hall of Famer of the Palanca Awards for Literature, copied me the following note that provides a link to a YouTube feature of Charles Aznavour singing "I Didn't See the Time Go By":

"I was a minstrel of my time
who did not see the time go by..."

Charles Aznavour sings a classic! (In sentiment and thought, seems to be the opposite of "Je ne regrette rien," but equally beautiful.) And if only this song became the song of choice of wannabe crooners, instead of Frank Sinatra's "My Way," there might be less killings in karaoke bars and beer gardens, who knows...
