Title: Repudiating Sarah Palin’s coinage of “refudiate”
Post by: Joe Carillo on July 20, 2010, 08:48:44 AM
Dictionary.com’s “Hot Word” blog came up with a very interesting critique of Sarah Palin’s use of the word “refudiate”—yes, that’s “refudiate” with an “f” instead of a “p”—in an opinion piece about a proposal to build a mosque in the vicinity of the September 11th site in the United States. The item was brought to my attention by thereader, a Forum member from whom we hadn’t heard for a very long while.

Yes, we had such a laugh discussing it at my new page, What's your point, exactly? yesterday. Sarah Palin, many Americans reckon, has a big chance of becoming the next president of the United States. This is now the new American psyche, it seems: shallow, sentimental, shameless. ;D
