How Good is Your English? / Improving vocabulary?
« on: August 30, 2016, 04:40:59 PM »
@Joe

I don't know where to ask this question.

How did you improve your vocabulary?
What tips and tricks did you do?
Or tools you can suggest?

When studying English grammar, which does you think is the hardest part?

By the way, I'm currently re-studying tenses.

An English teacher right?, please confirm.

If yes, then that's really nice.

Me, I'm just an enthusiast but English is now my new addiction.

Kung baga sa tagalog "Hinde ko tatantanan and English!' lol

Hi Joe,

Someone wrote this on facebook.

"Come out to your shell and discover a new things."

Is this correct?

This is  my guess below?

"Come out from your shell and discover new things."

I replaced 'to' with 'from'
And removed 'a'
Am I correct?

Thanks.

Lounge / Youth + Internet = Luck

This just came into my mind.

When I was in elementary school and high school there was no computer or internet.
And when I was in college computer and  the internet is very rare and only few can benefit from it.
In short when I was in college internet is really just a toddler.

So, people were born beginning the year 2000's is very lucky.
Because they have this very powerful tool called "The Internet".
Just imagine when I was in High school studying English is really boring and not so exciting.
Books are expensive and you can only mingle with your fellow English classmates at school only.
While these days you can mingle with them anytime you want through the internet, even if you don't meet them
at the same time interval. For instance in this forum.

Not only that, Information are really getting very cheap and often free and very fast and fresh.
And you can study it at your own pace.

Sorry for my moaning and whining. lol

What I'm asking is which is correct when you translate the tagalog sentence above?

By the way, this was shown on T.V. before in GMA.
