Sir, is the slogan below correct?
I think it should be "The best charity is
the one
given in Ramadan" instead, while my mother said it should be "The best charity is given in Ramadan."

I'm ignorant of Muslim vocabulary and customs so I'm sorry that I can't respond to this question of yours. Perhaps a Muslim member of the Forum can enlighten us on this.

I was able to ask two men about the slogan today. One of them is a sales executive while the other is a bank executive who both studied in Muslim universities. I had inquired "Is the sentence construction correct or not?" and was answered "yes" twice.
