Use and Misuse / Re: Will Taglish stay forever in the Philippines?

I quote, "centuries before I have developed fear of Indianisms?" Where did that come from? "Many of them who had gone to college are rude.." you say, look who is afraid now. I have worked and lived with many of them, that is why I know what I am saying. Lower class or upper class, to me they are just the same.

I agree with Renzphotography compeletely, here in China most of the Indian students and teachers are very rude. They think as if they are the Kings of the world. They act as if they are omniscient.  :o

Joe,

I have watched the movie entitled "The Pursuit of Happyness," several times in 2006 but I still do not why they misspelled the word "happiness."  ???

I am aware of the fact that the word "invite" can either be a verb or a noun but I have never used it as a noun. I would rather use the word "invitation," instead, due to my personal preference and using it as a noun sounds irritating to me.  :) But of course I have nothing against the lexicographers who decided to make it as a noun for brevity.

I agree with you, if you are going to look at the sign carefully, it looks as if it's edited. Any reactions from the computer savvy Forum members here?  ;) If the sign is true, I don't think anyone would go hiking to that place.  ;D

Are the expressions "just so so," "and so on", and "you know" correct usage?

Thanks! Yes, I agree with you completely, it's a website that you can edit and post whatever you want freely and the possibility for the info (as you have mentioned) to be very poor or messed up is very high because everyone can do it. :)

Is Wikipedia really not a good source of knowledge? To be honest, I thought it was good. Can you share us some compelling reasons why we need to avoid visiting or using the website as a source of knowledge?
