Word-choice blooper in a Metro Manila broadsheet
« on: October 05, 2009, 10:42:06 PM »
Multi-awarded writer Ed Maranan sent in this word-choice blooper in one of the Metro Manila broadsheets yesterday:

"Barely 27 days after a human rights advocate priest was killed in Northern Samar, another nonsense killing happened yesterday afternoon, this time the victim was the younger brother of Gov. Raul Daza and uncle of Rep. Paul Daza of Northern Samar’s first congressional district."

His comment: "The writer meant 'senseless killing', of course."
