Dear Professor Carillo,
Thank you so much for acknowledging my letter. It is indeed a
privilege to receive a reply from you. I've now joined your forum
so I can safely say I'm now a bona fide member of this prestigious
forum.
I am still getting to know how to go about posting a comment--
I know I've got a few questions lined up. Still, it is worth
pointing out that I now have a site to go to everyday.

All best wishes,

(Mrs) Hill Roberts :)

Welcome to the Forum, Mrs. Roberts! I'm glad you found your way to its byzantine interiors, and I hope to see you often here to discuss English usage and--at least in the Lounge section--anything at all under the sun!

Please don't call me "Professor Carillo"; I'm more comfortable with "Joe." Would it be OK to call you "Hill"? I suppose it's short for "Hillary" or am I mistaken?

Have a nice day and weekend!

Thank you Joe, for the warm welcome and thank you again
for being my cyberfriend on Facebook. I hope we can share
many more things in the future as I am keen to learn everyday.
Although I've been living in Spain for three decades now, I
still would like to be in touch with people in the Far East.
All best wishes,
Hill :)

You're most welcome, Hill!

Watch for my "English Plain and Simple" column in The Manila Times online edition this Saturday!
