Correct. The  most common error of most unprofessional writers are putting "comma" after adverb and prepositional phrase before the main sentence. This is the most visible common error that an editor can see to any writing material, I think.

The usage of the verb "arrive," "come," and "get" depends on where you are, I think. Here in the US, the word "get' is commonly used instead of the verb "arrive," or "come."
In the morning at the office, I would say to my friend, "what time you get home last night?" and he would normally reply, " I got home at about...."  I just could not ask him why he used the verb "get" instead of "arrive" or "come" because it is their colloquial way of replying to the question.

While in the Philippines, they say, " I arrived home...." which is also
perfectly right.

Thank you.

With  my respect to Mr. Gonzalez, I think his literary works need a serious editing. e.g.,  adverbs or prepositional phrase placed before the main sentence require a comma.
