Cat sneezing can result from a number of causes, some internal while others external to the cat physical environment. Sometimes cat do sneeze as a result of irritation in their nasal passages. These can be less serious and disappear with time.

However, some sneezing is more serious and dangerous to the overall cat’s health. Therefore it is very critical to take every sneezing incident very serious and look for correct remedy immediately when you noticed the signs and symptoms.

Most cases of cat sneezing are actually caused by the upper respiratory infections. This is the leading cause of almost all cases of cat sneezing. The very old cats and also the very young ones are the ones mostly vulnerable to sneezing caused by upper respiratory infections.

Their immune system is considerably weak and their lifestyle and general body conditions also increases their exposures to upper respiratory infections.

Other common causes of Cat Sneezing you should learn about include allergies. Allergies can result from foreign objects such as a seed lodged in the nasal passage, and irritants such as dust and or smokes. All these leads to allergies that subsequently causes cat sneezing. Again, another close cause of cat sneezing related to allergies includes nasal cancer, nasal polyps, or fungal infection.

Again, about common causes of cat sneezing is inhalation of infected air. Cats are known to like inhaling every place, in and outside the house. Inhalation of pollen, mould, and dust is another common cause of cat sneezing affecting most cat owners. When you let your cat inhale such places most probably they will start sneezing after infection. Chemicals such as cleaning supplies and other aromatic household items like the perfumes also causes cat sneezing if they inhale such air.

Lastly about common causes of cat sneezing is dental diseases. It has been proved by scientists that complications from dental related diseases greatly cause cats sneezing symptoms. When a cat’s teeth and gum become infected with the dental diseases, the infection spreads easily down to the nasal passage where it can block it or cause other complications leading to cats sneezing. Redness or swellings of the gums are the early indication of dental infections.

In conclusion, whenever you see any sign and symptoms of cat sneezing, it is very critical to take it to your vet for proper diagnosis. Nothing should be taken for granted even if the condition looks less serious; it can cause other dreadful complications that can lead to the death of your cat if not treated immediately. Never trust your skills alone; veterinarian is the best person to help you identify the correct cause of your cat sneezing and the appropriate remedy to take.
