If you think that the word that’s about to follow, “paraprosdokian,” is a terrible spelling mix-up, you are terribly mistaken. It’s a perfectly legitimate English word—a figure of speech, in fact—where the latter part of a sentence, phrase, or larger discourse is said in such a surprising or unexpected way that it forces the reader or listener to reframe or reinterpret the first part.
