Is this statement wrong,
"In case the problem persists, inform the Front Desk Officer and ask for assistance"?

And can it be rewritten to,
"In case the problem persists, inform the Front Desk Officer and ask assistance"?

Help me, guys! Please...=)

Is this statement wrong,

And can it be rewritten to,
"In case the problem persists, inform the Front Desk Officer and ask assistance"?
